High-Performance Flame Retardant for Polymer Applications 50MS
FR-50MS is an environmentally friendly halogen-free flame retardant primarily based on phosphorus and nitrogen flame-retardant elements. This product does not belong to the ammonium polyphosphate (APP) intumescent flame retardant system and contains no APP components. Compared to APP-based systems, FR-50MS exhibits higher thermal stability, a higher decomposition temperature, more convenient processing conditions, and superior color stability in polypropylene (PP) applications.

Product Description
FR-50M is suitable for flame-retardant PP and flame-retardant PP (with fiber reinforcement), achieving UL 94 V-0 (0.75mm) certification. It passes the 70°C × 168-hour water immersion test (UL746C) and meets the Glow-Wire Ignition Temperature (GWIT) 750°C and Glow-Wire Flammability Index (GWFI) 960°C requirements.
Additionally, it complies with the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS, 2002/95/EC).
FR-50M can also be applied to polyolefin wire and cable materials. During extrusion, it eliminates issues of water-induced slippage and allows the use of multi-layer screens without decomposition.

Precautions
● Extrusion & Pelletizing: Use a screw configuration with low-shear effects.
● Temperature Control: Maintain extrusion and injection temperatures below 230°C.
● Fillers: Additives such as carbon black or calcium carbonate may negatively impact flame retardancy. Adjust the ratio of flame retardant to fillers as needed.
● Moisture: Avoid exposure to moisture.
● Packaging & Storage: 25 kg per package. Store in a cool, dry place and protect from moisture.
